A kindergarten teacher spent a few minutes each morning teaching her class a new word.
She explained the word and its meaning to the class and then asked them to develop a few sentences containing the word of the day.
The teacher said the word for the day was “frugal.”
She explained that frugal had to do with saving, and a frugal person saves.
She then asked the class to come up with a sentence for the word.
The class seemed kind of stumped and sat there in silence for a few seconds until one little girl raised her hand.
Instead of a simple sentence, she came up with a little story:
“Once upon a time, there was a princess stuck in a high tower.
All the doors were enchanted and she couldn’t get out.
One day she heard a young prince passing by and singing.
The princess shouted from the tower: “Thrifty, me! I am thrifty!”
So the prince left them enough and they lived happily ever after.
